Ganda's Bridal Store Policies

I am pleased that you are considering Ganda's to create a custom garment for your special occasion.I offer a unique service and would like to take this opportunity to share my procedures and style of service with you.

Turnaround Time

For small parties or basic dress designs it takes 6-8 weeks from initial consultation to completion of your garment.  For larger parties or more detailed gowns the timeframe is four - six months. Unforeseen complications in design changes, fittings, fabric selection, and family needs may affect the delivery date.  Delivery date of gown will be determined at initial consultation and may be flexible to meet client needs.  Rushing in the planning stages can lead to poor choices. Each client is important to me and receives every consideration that I can give.

Fitting Appointments

It is preferable that all fittings be done in person. Special circumstances may not permit this, i.e. out of town bridesmaids, arrangements made at initial consultation.  Please be on time for all appointments (or phone).  Wear suitable lingerie and either wear or bring correct shoes. Due to the importance of proper foundations in fitting, failure to do so may lead to an additional session scheduled at an additional fitting fee. Minimum of three fittings required. I will notify you if it becomes necessary to change an appointment, and I would appreciate you doing the same. Please call and leave a message if you are unable to reach me in person.

Fees

My price sheet explains fees for specific garments.  Prices include consultations, phone calls, design planning and changes, fabric if necessary, cutting out the garment, sewing, fitting, pressing and final delivery.  Deposits required as follows: customer provides pattern, fabric, notions 25% deposit, otherwise a 50 % deposit required for fabric, pattern, notions. Full payment due at time of delivery. Payment by check 2 weeks prior to delivery or cash only day of delivery.

Patterns

You may purchase your own patterns or I can create a pattern working from a picture, sketch, or a series of pictures that you bring to our first consultation. There will be a design and pattern fee included in the cost of your garment, if I do create a pattern for you.  Although the final choice will be yours, selecting the right pattern and fabric to create the desired effect is the very essence of my role during consultation.  By working together, we can create a design that you will enhance your special day.

Fabric

Special Occasion Garments deserve to be constructed out of the best fabric you can afford.  Natural fibers or superior quality synthetics will be your best fabric choices.  The better quality fabrics often make the garment.  Silks, high quality polyesters, rayon's, and blends behave in a way that gives you a beautiful garment that wears better and wrinkles less.   Acetates wrinkle and water spot easily.  Your job will be to decide the end results you desire and purchase the ultimate choice that will help us achieve those results.  A lot of thought and consideration goes into each new client's project.   Since I specialize in Bridal Fashions, the garments we create should be the ones you and/or your wedding party will enjoy wearing and lend to the memories of your special day.  Prices may vary due to pattern design, detailing, and choice of fabric.  

Alterations due to wrong size pattern, special fitting problems, weight gain or loss during the construction process, or fit other than that designed into pattern will also affect the final cost.  Three visits will be required to complete garment: one to obtain body measurements, one mid-construction to insure good fit and to mark hem.   Undergarments and shoes should be worn to this fitting.  The final fitting to compensate any possible problems as mentioned above.  I will commit to completing garment to customer satisfaction when the above conditions are met.  I cannot take responsibility for exact fit  when I am working from measurements taken elsewhere or if I have not had the opportunity to fit garment with proper undergarments. If problems arise  from construction I will fix or repair garment.
